Eryne Donahue is an artist, illustrator and communications specialist working in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. Her artistic practice employs digital and photo-based media toward efforts of conservation and our identity as a species. Eryne maintains regular work in illustration and design, with a particular focus on environmental conservation. She has received fieldwork training to support her interests in better understanding flora, fauna and how their health and populations are measured and monitored.
Artistic Practice
Eryne's subject matter is drawn from daily life and on-site painting, collage, photography and play. She later employs methodologies of categorization, transcription and pattern recognition into her process. The resulting work reflects this strange balance of the imaginative, personal and poetic with a detached and calculated process of understanding.
